PQS Pre-Qualification-Scheme is a UKAS Inspection Body, SSIP Registered Member, and Crown Commercial Services G-Cloud-approved provider.
PQS is a leading SSIP Registered Member accredited by UKAS Inspection Body under ISO17020:2012 and subject to regular independent audits by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service). UKAS as the national accreditation body for the UK, is governmentappointed to assess organisations providing certification, testing, inspection, and calibration.
SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) is supported by HSE (Health & Safety Executive), acting as an umbrella organisation to facilitate and maximise mutual or cross-recognition of health and safety assessments between SSIP member schemes, where practicable to do so.
PQS Pre-Qualification-Scheme is a member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP). As an SSIP member, PQS is fully committed to the vision of driving unnecessary cost and confusion out of supplier health and safety assessment, and SSIP’s core philosophy is to enable effective cross-recognition between existing schemes. PQS, Prequalification Scheme adopts internal control principles based on International Standard ISO/IEC 17020 Conformity Assessment, requirements for bodies performing the inspection and a standard used by UKAS to approve inspection bodies. At assessment level, competent personnel are assigned (SSIP member assessor requirements adopted).
