The HSE is about to commence a widespread consultation on the production of guidance on the application of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 to the Entertainment Sector. The HSE recognises that the sector is diverse and has adopted a framework of four sub-sectors: Theatre and Live Performance; Broadcast & Film; Exhibition & Conference and Events. The outcome of the consultative process will be HSE produced guidance. At the moment the HSE envisage this will be a core document relevant to all sectors with the facility to provide sub-sector specific guidance as well. The HSE core guidance will be published on the HSE website.
The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 are due to come into force on 6 April 2015. The HSE has already published L 153 draft Legal (L) Series guidance to give guidance on the requirements of CDM 2015.
