Why PQS?

PQS is the simplest, fastest, and most affordable means of achieving Health & Safety Approval with an SSIP Registered Member Scheme. The acronym SSIP stands for Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP). It’s an umbrella organisation with members providing health and safety assessment schemes to contractors in the supply chain to show compliance with safety practices to their future clients.

✓ £40 plus VAT (via deem to satisfy route if already SSIP certified)
✓ £95 plus VAT (1 to 4 personnel)

What Does PQS SSIP Approval Involve?

SSIP Core Criteria

To gain your certificate to show that you meet the core criteria, SSIP member schemes require proportionate evidence to be submitted for each of the following:

1. Health & Safety policy and organisation
2. Health & Safety Arrangements
3. Competent advice
4. Training and information
5. Individual qualifications and experience
6. Monitoring, auditing and review
7. Workforce involvement
8. Accident reporting and enforcement action; follow – up investigation
9. Sub-contracting /consulting procedures (if applicable)
10. Risk assessment leading to a safe system of work
11. Co-operating and coordinating your work with others
